About Me

Jeremy was born in Fargo, ND and raised in Ruston, LA. He received his BA in Philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and his MFA in Creative Writing-Fiction from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA. He has taught there, at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA, and currently at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC., where he serves as faculty fiction editor for Waccamaw: a Journal of Contemporary Literature. He has received support from the South Carolina Arts Commission, and his stories, poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in such journals as the Alaska Quarterly Review, the Bellevue Literary Review, the Greensboro Review, the Hopkins Review, the Indiana Review, Oxford American, and Shenandoah, among others. He lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife Karen and their son.
